The most expensive things in your business are the ones you don't know are there. This prompt makes AI name your top five and rank them by what they're costing you.
// The WhyEvery founder has blind spots. By definition, you can't see them. They're the assumptions you've carried so long they feel like facts, the stories you tell yourself about why something isn't working, the "everybody knows" beliefs in your industry that quietly cap your growth.
Here's the part that makes them so expensive. They feel true. A blind spot doesn't show up flashing red. It shows up as something obvious you stopped questioning years ago. "My clients won't pay more than that." "I have to be on every platform." "I'm just not a salesperson." You're not lying. You just never checked.
The reason a friend or a coach can spot them in five minutes is that they're outside your head. They don't have your assumptions baked in. AI can do the same thing, but only if you make it. Asked the normal way it'll flatter you, because that's the safe answer. You have to explicitly tell it to stop.
This prompt does that. It demands your top five blind spots, sorts each one into fact, assumption, or a story you're telling yourself, gives you the evidence both ways, and ranks them by cost.
This one works best after you've already told AI a lot about your business — in a long chat, or in a Project where your context already lives.
Now that you can see everything I've told you, point out my top five blind spots. For each one: tell me whether it's a fact, an assumption, or a story I'm telling myself, and give me the evidence for and against it. Don't flatter me. Be specific. Rank them by how much they're costing me.
Sorting each one into fact, assumption, or story is what makes it land. Most of what's holding you back isn't a fact — it's an assumption you've been treating like one, or a story you built after one bad experience. Seeing it labeled, with evidence on both sides, breaks the spell. And ranking by cost means you fix the $50k belief before the $500 one.
// Honest NoteAI only knows what you've told it, so its blind-spot list is shaped by your own framing — which means it can have blind spots about your blind spots. Treat the output as a sharp starting list, not gospel. The real value is the ones that make you a little defensive. That flinch is usually the truth knocking.
// The Rule of ThumbIf a belief about your business has gone unexamined for over a year, it's not a fact — it's a candidate. Pull it out, label it, and check the evidence. The beliefs you never question are exactly the ones running your ceiling.
